AdvoCare~Spark

Energy. Energy. Energy. EVERYONE is clamoring for it. EVERYONE needs it. NO ONE has enough of it. So as I decided to embark on this tremendous health and fitness goal, I knew that energy would be a concern. There are so MANY options of things that offer energy: energy drinks, bars, shots, even gum.

Enter AdvoCare Spark Energy drink. Now, I have seen SEVERAL people on Facebook mention this product in their status's. But they were distributors. I wanted to see for myself.

First, I did a little research. Here is what I found on their website:
  • Available in Pink Lemonade, Mandarin Orange, Fruit Punch, Grape, Citrus and Cherry
  • Offered in pouches and canisters
  • The  #1 seller of Advocare products
  • The most nutritionally advanced energy drink on the market
  • Sugar-free, long-lasting energy*
  • Surprisingly fast-acting*
  • Contains 21 vitamins, minerals and nutrients designed to synergistically provide a healthy, balanced source of energy*
  • Just 45 calories per serving
  • Sharpens mental focus*
I read a couple of reviews about it and googled "Advocare Scam". Weighed it out and decided to give it a whirl! Upon deciding to do 2 a days of  High Intensity Cardio and Strength Training, I figured this would be the opportunity to put it to the test.

I took the packet of Pink Lemonade Spark that I had and poured it into my water bottle with 8 oz of water.   I shock it up and sipped it as I did my morning wake up routine:Stretch (my back), brush teeth, wash face, measure out Shakeology for the day,my Protein powder for the day, packed my cooler for the day and review my to do list. Then it was time for my morning workout. The workout, it self, would not be the test. My energy level through my morning into my second workout? THAT Would be the test.
Over the course of 6 days, I tried all 6 flavors of Spark. Here are my conclusions:
  • Taste: I am no fan of after taste, which I felt the grape had. The Pink Lemonade and  Cherry were my favorites, and tasted quite good.
  • Performance: I felt like it gave me more energy to push through my second workout and I was more alert. Very important and quite noticeable, as I tend to be a bit scatterbrained.
  • Key Ingredients:
B-vitamin complex (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12 and pantothenic acid), taurine, L-tyrosine, choline, caffeine, GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid)
  • Lifestyle fit: Easy to use. Quick. I need that.
  • Cost: 14 packets are $22.95 at the retail level. 42 serving canister is : $51.95 A lot cheaper than a red bull. :-)
Spark from AdvoCare is a product that I would use again. I liked the extra push it gave me, with no jitters, NO sugar and NO crash.
